April Showers!
Singing Hills!!!
Just a few days away and I will be off and heading south to New Hampshire to enjoy a wonderful, creative, peaceful weekend with some darling friends. We will be going to a semi-annual "Memories that Matter Scrapbooking Retreat" that is sponsored by Singing Hills Christian Camp. This will be my third trip to this remarkable Camp! I look forward to being able to make new friends, see some old ones, spend time crafting and learning and simply relaxing!
I will also be heading a bit farther south to Manchester New Hampshire to spend a day at the "Creating Keepsakes Convention"! Oh this is so much fun! I will be taking a class to learn some new techniques, awe, I will be the student this time around! Shopping in the Vendor's Fair will take up most of the day. Then my dearest friend Lynn 2 and I have plans to enjoy a great dinner together before we head back to Singing Hills for the rest of the weekend. How much fun will this be? Come back and look for some great pictures!

Playing Catch Up
Those of you that know me personally know that I have had a very crazy life the last few months. So my new blog has had to take a back seat in priorities on the "To-Do" list.
My "Totally Techniques Club" will be meeting Saturday, March 23 at the Saranac Town Hall. over the last month 9 of these wonderful, creative and loving ladies joined a “Th…. You” card swap!
This one was simple!
Make ONE card per person that joins, so if 8 people join you make 8 of the same card!
Use any supplies (lets use up that wonderful stash we have).
Yes you can use premade card bases, or create your own using cardstock.
Size 4 ½ x 5 ½ standard card, no fancy folds this time around!
Must use some cardstock as well as printed paper.
You must use at least two different embellishments.
Sentiment outside and inside card must reference either “Thank You” or “Thinking of You”
You must also include ONE technique other than stamping and ink distressing the edges! LOL!
Registration deadline is March 1st and Cards are DUE at our March 23rd workshop!
This is a great way to build our card supply or sample collection!

Cardstock
With the colors of card stock changing last summer at Close To My Heart I needed to find a new way to organize all that beautiful card stock that I have. Over the years I have slowly invested in several Advantus Cropper Hopper Verticle Paper Holders, these come with the plastic dividers as well. I purchased mine from our local Michael's with my coupons over time.
Well I decided to go ALPHABETICALLY! This took a while to do since I had a ton of retired colors as well. Those all went together in their own paper holders. So now I have all the CURRENT colors of Close To My Heart cardstock in alphabetical order, labeled and in easy reach! How did I do all of that? Well first I labeled a divider with each color name using a label maker. Then I put each color of cardstock, scraps included, into a ziplock bag that can be purchased from Close To My Heart. Then I took 6 colors and placed them into a Cropper Hopper Paper Holder. I typed the names of all the colors onto White Daisy cardstock in groups of 6, remember alphabetically. This was printed and cut so that each group of colors fit into a Trading Card Plastic Sleeve, 2 5/8" x 3 5/8". The plastic card sleeves fit perfectly on the spine of the Cropper Hopper Paper Holder! Then I used clear Duct tape to tape the sleeves onto the spine of the paper holders! I made sure not to tape over the opening so that I can easily slide out the label when Close To My Heart decides to changes colors again!

It's just the beginning....
I guess I can say that it was peer pressure that did it. Peer pressure that encouraged or pushed me to start a blog. I am not really sure I know what I am doing, but will learn along the way. I tend to take challenges head on.... just look at my life, for those of you that know me personally. I am not sure what I will be posting here, it might turn out to simply be all about my Paper Dreams or my life as well. Who knows.... but anyways, welcome and I hope that you enjoy yourself.
